This study is descriptive based on objective and data was collected using a combination of methods including in-depth interviews with experts in the field of business intelligence and literature review. In this study, business intelligence is defined as "the ability of an individual or group of individuals in solving business issues and advancement in business goals". Our review of the results of the latest research in the field showed that none of the existing models for the assessment of business intelligence maturity have all the necessary standards. These standards include comprehensiveness, clarity, and having theoretical foundation. In this study, in addition to the above shortcomings, we have highlighted the lack of definition of weights of BI factors in its growth as the other weaknesses of previous models. In this regard, we have defined the relative importance of BI factors. The results of this study were proposing the concept of BI and a comprehensive model for BI Maturity Assessment and this was achieved by the combination of current models.
